Chernobyl (TV Series)


Chernobyl is a television mini-series co-produced by HBO and Sky UK. It follows the events surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in the Soviet Union (now Ukraine) in April 1986. The five-episode miniseries premiered on May 6, 2019 and ended on June 3, 2019.

This series is about the devastating nuclear accident. Efforts to contain losses and prevent further damage at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and subsequent. It explores the politics, science, and humanity of disaster, demonstrating the sacrifices of the people involved in mitigating the problem.
"Chernobyl" received great acclaim from critics and audiences alike for its suspenseful story, superb acting and attention to detail. In the series, Jared Harris plays Valery Legasov, a famous Soviet nuclear physicist, and Stellan Skarsgard plays Boris Shcherbina, a former Soviet government official. Emily Watson also plays Ulana Khomyuk, a mischievous character who represents the many scientists and engineers who helped with the investigation.
